Hello! It’s Lynnea and I am so excited to be guest designing for Inktoberfest for a second time! How amazing! Inktoberfest is a month long event celebrating different inks and coloring mediums! Today I’m diving in to some Crayola products! Yes! Crayola!! These new products are amazing! I used the set of 50 colored pencils as well as some new erasable highlighters!

I used the Octobers stamp set which is from The Ink Road made exclusively for the October box from The Hedgehog Hollow! I knew I wanted to color all the images in classic fall colors, so I stamped all of them randomly across my kraft cardstock panel and heat embossed them with white embossing powder.

I used the new line of Crayola colored pencils to color each of my images. I used the set of 50 colors and you guys…these are so AMAZING! I’m definitely not an expert with pencils, but they blended so well they did all the work for me! They are so creamy and delightful! I colored just like I would with alcohol markers and added my darkest color first and then my medium into my lightest color.

These pencils are such high quality pencils! I’m so excited to use them again! I swatched out some of the other colors and the purples and blues are GORGEOUS! I will be using them again soon! I LOVE how the pencils lay down color, but on top of that, I love how sleek and modern they look! The pencils are black with the bottom tip colored to match the color of the pencil ( and the ends are true to the actual color of the pencil which is a HUGE deal to me! ). They just look so pretty!

In addition to the pencils I also played with another of their new products – some erasable highlighters! Who would have thought to use a highlighter on a card?! I just thought it was so COOL how they erase and leave crisp white lines! I was doodling on a piece of scrap paper and the idea for this card popped in my head! The package comes with six colors (I didn’t use the yellow and orange colors). I laid down some color, making sure to overlap the colors – simply because I liked the sketchy look! And then I used the opposite end and doodled over the color. Doesn’t it look super awesome?!

Thank you all so much for joining me today! These products from Crayola are so awesome and I’m so fortunate to have gotten to play with them! I hope you are enjoying Inktoberfest! We are halfway through and there is still so much more fun to come!
