Happy Inktoberfest, friends! Are you enjoying the event so far? This is Lea Lawson, and I am happy to be here on behalf of Pinkfresh Studio using our fantastic Liquid Watercolor!

First off, how about we define liquid watercolor for those who might not be sure of what they are? According to Google, “While ink is meant to be used undiluted, watercolor inks are designed to be mixed with water. Liquid watercolors, also known as watercolor inks or concentrated watercolors, are not waterproof, but they may stain paper and unlike most regular watercolor can be difficult to remove.”

Pinkfresh Studio liquid watercolors are highly pigmented, but translucent. They are acid free & archival quality, so you don’t have to worry when using them for documenting photos & memories. They are made in the USA so you don’t have to worry about the ingredients, but they do come with child-proof droppers as they shouldn’t be ingested. They will also stain if spilled in large quantity, so we felt the child proof dropper was a must!

I filmed my process of creating the card above, and you can view it below or in HD on our YouTube channel.

Our liquid watercolors are SO much fun to create with, and I hope that I’ve shown how forgiving they are! I used way too much water when I started my background, and I was able to mop it right up and add the color more selectively afterwards. You don’t have to be an expert at watercolor to make these work for you!

Here are a couple close-ups of the card I created in the video.

Here are some other ways you can use our Liquid Watercolor:

  • Drop into a palette, and use a small watercolor brush to color your images in
  • Drop & swirl into a galaxy background
  • Splatter droplets onto water-washed diecuts or cardstock panels
  • Use with a water brush on heat embossed images
  • Drop onto a dry panel, then mist/spray with a water bottle

And SO much more! Check out our Liquid Watercolor Playlist on YouTube to see other ways our amazing designers & guests have used Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolor.
