I hope you’re all having fun playing with the May Hedgehog Hollow Box! For regular subscribers, there was truly gorgeous floral stencil – super intricate and detailed. There are so many possibilities to use this stencil, but I decided to take advantage of the details in the stencil and use some small ink daubers (those that fit over your finger tip) with ink to color in the bouquet.
I taped the stencil to a white card panel, off set in the top right corner. I then used pink, purple, grey-blue, and yellow inks with the daubers to color in the images. All of the inks I used are by Catherine Pooler. You can see where the inks overlapped in some places, creating new colors like the green and orange.
I added some spatters with the Nuvo Midas Touch Shimmer Pen included in the April box, and when dry, I adhered the panel to one of the card bases included in the May box.
For my sentiment, I used one of the chipboard pieces from the box, and adhered it directly over the panel, leaving it un-embellished for a more rustic feel. I colored a piece of white card with the pink and purple inks I used and when dry, heat embossed one of the sentiments from the stamp sets in the box in white embossing powder, trimmed it out and popped it up on foam tape.
For a final embellishment, I added some Gold Luxe Nuvo Dream Drops in a few places. You might also see that I created a matching envelope by stenciling the image in pink ink over the flap of one of the pink envelopes from the box for a tone on tone effect.
Have a wonderful day everyone – I love seeing your comments, thank you so much for visiting.
