Hello! It’s Kari V. again with a Kissing Moon card. I love this moon image from the January 2020 Kit, it looks like he’s blowing kisses. I paired him with the “sending love” sentiment and a plaid background for a sweet card.

To get that plaid background, I first stamped the watercolor image stamp from the kit with a light blue ink. Then I used a striped stencil (linked below) to add some vertical stripes with a slightly darker blue. I turned the stencil to add some horizontal stripes as well to get that plaid look. I was careful to stay within the stamped background, using a finger dauber made it easy.

Next, I stamped the moon with black ink and clear embossed the image. I colored him with a yellow Copic marker and fussy cut the image. I added him to the card with foam adhesive.

Next, I heat embossed some die cut hearts with WOW! Embossing powder. I added them to a white heart to create a shadow, then popped them up with small round foam adhesive.

I added a few gold glitter stars. The sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock.

I framed it all with some teal foil paper. I love the addition of that plaid background for extra interest on an otherwise simple card. I hope you like it too! I’ll see you next time with more inspiration.
