Hi Krafty Friends, I’m excited to be back on the blog this week with another project from the October Subscription Box. This week I wanted to step out of my comfort zone, and try my hand at some Holiday Tags! I had so much fun making them, and can’t wait to jazz up some holiday packages!

The first thing I did was cut out several tags on Bazzill Kraft Cardstock, using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels. Then I stamped images from the “Around Winter” stamp set from Maker Forte included in the October Subscription Box, using Distress Oxide Inks in Wild Honey, Evergreen Bough and Aged Mahogany.

Then I used Spellbinders Dies to cut out the images and sentiments.

Next, I applied Pixie Spray to the back of the stencil and used the same three Oxides to ink up the various tags.

I then used a soft hand to tone down the contrast and lightly blended over the whole tag.

For variety I directly stamped some images onto a few of the tags.

For this tag, I inked up the full base then stenciled on top of it for yet another look.

For dimension I used foam tape to pop up my sentiments or images. In finishing my tags, I used Taylored Expressions “Tag Reinforcements” dies, and then punched a hole in the middle. This gave me a spot to add twine to the tags.

I love the way they turned out! I love “Old Fashioned” looking Holiday’s…so these work perfectly with my decorating tastes! I will most definitely have some of these tags under my tree this year!

Thanks for much for stopping by and visiting today! I hope that you enjoyed seeing what else you can do with the Subscription Box other than cards! See you next week! Keep krafting!
