Hello! It’s Kari and today I have some layering stamp ideas and tricks to share using the Seahorse stamp set. This set came in the June 2019 kit, and I just love it!
This kit has so many beach themed items: shells, and fish, and coral. But the seahorse just jumped out at me and I chose that for my very first card project with this kit.
I have a video to show you some easy (and quick) ways to layer up those seahorse stamps to make multiple cards.
These seahorses are so fun with 3 layered stamps to make them your own. If you are not a colorist, but have multiple colors of ink (including Distress Oxide inks!) you can make lots of them using this method! And if you don’t have multiple shades of one color, just double or triple stamp the top layer to get a darker shade.
I found that these seahorses were very easy to line up, and I hope that my tips will help you to easily make some seahorse cards of your own.
Watch my video below or on YouTube for my layered stamping tricks:
I love using a stamping platform with a ruler to get perfect results every time!
Those layers are just beautiful on these stamps! I love the sentiments on these cards, too: “Let the sea set you free” and “Wild & Free just like the sea.” This kit offers so many great sentiments!
For this set I used silver embossing powder for the outline layer. I love the extra shine it adds! I chose silver to match with the cool beach theme. But just imagine all the color options for these stamps in all three layers. I cannot wait to see what you come up with!
I hope you enjoyed these tips. See you next time!
