Hey Krafty Friends, Jen from Katahdin Krafts, I’m back on the blog today with my first ever Mini Slimline Card! This month’s subscription box is brimming with loads of fairy goodness.

In order to make my card base I took black cardstock and cut a 6″ x 6″ square and then scored it at the 3″ mark. This gives me a mini slimline size of 6″ x 3″ when finished. I then cut my card panel to 5.75″ x 2.75″, this allows the base to have a nice 1/8″ frame around the card. All the stamps I used for my card are found in the “A Brush of Wings” stamp set, in the March Subscription Box. I love how all the stamps fit together to make this card.

Next, I inked up my card panel using Distress Oxide Inks in Barn Door and Fossilized Amber. You really can use any color combination for this card, I think purples and pinks would look fabulous too! I was going for a warm glow look for this particular project.

Then I lined up all the stamps in my Misti and stamped them all at once! I used my Eclipse Black Remarkable Ink for great coverage, and stamped twice. Heat embossing clear over the card, would also give the card some dimension and another look. There are so many possibilities! I love the simplicity of the card, yet how elegant and perfect it looks when all put together! This would be a great card to mass produce, in all different inky colors!

For my final touch I added a few gems from my stash, to add just that little hint of bling.

Thank you so much for getting krafty with me today! I hope you love this card and March Subscription Box just as much as I do! Take care and I’ll see you back soon for another fun project!
