Hello again! It’s Kari with an easy masculine card using Florals from the May 2019 Kit. I’m pairing it with some products from last year’s June kit to make a card for Dad!

My Dad’s birthday is coming up, but this could be for a Father’s Day card or another special occasion. The copper color is perfect for this type of card.

First I chose some paper from my stash that had teal and copper as the background. You could easily make your own watercolor wash background as well, but using patterned paper is just so nice.

Then I heat embossed the floral stripe designed by Sophia Caldwell (from the May 2019 kit) across the bottom of the panel. I used a softer metallic embossing powder for the flowers so the “Dad” would stand out and command attention!

The Dad die cut and the sentiment are both from the fabulous June 2018 Kit! I love this kit (at the time of writing this post there are only THREE of these kits left…and they’re on sale! Check it out here.)

I cut the Dad word out of chipboard and heat embossed it multiple times with Nuvo Copper Blush embossing powder. Then I stamped the sentiment onto some of the same paper and cut it into a strip.

I think this works well as a masculine card, even with that touch of floral (anyway, my Dad DOES like flowers!)

To finish it off I added Nuvo Jewel drops randomly here and there.

I hope you enjoyed this masculine card with a floral twist! See you next time,

Kari
