Hello crafty friends! Kimberly here to share a couple of cards using sets from the April Subscription Box. This box has many great options for masculine cards and we could all use a few more of them in our stash. So I just want to say, this is not a new idea, just one that some of you may not have tried.
To Start the tool card, I took a piece of 5 1/8″ x 3 1/2″ cardstock and lined it and the tool stamp up in my Misti. Then I rubbed the Anti Static Bag over the cardstock and stamped the image using the Color Hive Clear embossing ink. I embossed it with Clear embossing ink and quickly ran it through my laminator (or Minc) with Gold foil over it. I always run it through twice. I do not know if that is necessary though. I found that I could line up the Tool Stencil nicely for the bolt heads to be on each side of the sentiment. To add the Eclipse black Sugar Sparkle, I used texture paste through two of the bolt heads. While the paste was still wet, I poured some of the sugar sparkle over the paste and gently pressed it in. Once it dried, I stamped the sentiment, layered it on eclipse black cardstock and using foam tape, I attached it to the card base. Finally, I stamped the “Dad” stamp on the bottom corner of the card. It was such a quick and easy card to make and I just love how it turned out.
My second card to share today is this fun golf card. Another super easy card to make. I cut a piece of 5 1/4′ X 4 1/8″ cardstock and lined up the golf stamp from the Men at Play set in my Misti. Then I rubbed the anti static bag it and stamped the image in Color Hive Eclipse Black ink. I quickly embossed it with clear embossing powder and let it cool for a second. To mask off the bottom part of the card, I used a couple of post-it notes (you don’t want anything too sticky, it may remove the embossing powder) lining them up on that top black line from the image. Using the Cloud slimline stencil and Speckled Egg Distress ink, I stenciled the clouds in the top half. Next, I moved the post-it notes to the bottom black line of the image to cover the upper part of the card and blended Peeled Paint over most of the bottom, leaving a little space in the corners to blend a little Brushed Corduroy distress ink for dirt/sand. I stamped the sentiment using Color Hive Eclipse Black, layered this panel onto a 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of eclipse black cardstock, and finally on the card base.
Thank you for stopping buy!
