Hello! Kari V. here today with some masculine hammered steel and tools cards. I have THREE ideas for you using one of the stamps from the April Kit. My husband likes Makita tools… so I created some cards using the iconic teal/blue color.

If you have been a Hedgehog Hollow subscriber for a while, you might recognize the background stamp that looks like the metal tool box design. I think these work so well together!

My favorite background might be that one on the left that I created using a SILVER ink pad! Have you ever tried the ink pad swiping technique? So cool. I have all the details and processes in the video below, or watch it in HD on YouTube:

For the card on the right, I got a little creative in creating a Peg Board…by using a DOTTED embossing folder! If you have a stitching die that creates all the holes in the paper that would be so great for making a peg board card!

I love this fixologist stamp. The little tools are from a cut file that I cut out with my Silhouette machine, but there are so many great tool dies out there that would be perfect for these cards.

I also have a tip for adhering vellum without seeing the adhesive in my video. I used the vellum for this card:

A makeshift Peg Board
For the Fixologist

I hope you enjoyed these ideas today! I’ll be back soon with more card inspiration.
