Hi Krafty Friends, Jen from Katahdin Krafts, up on the blog today with my first Father’s Day card of the season! April’s subscription box is full of Father’s Day ideas, and it has made it super simple to get ahead of the game! You can make them for all of the gentlemen in your life.

Starting my card I stamped out the golfer in the “Men at Play” stamp set with my Eclipse Black Ink.

Next, I stamped the mountain from “To All the Men in My Life” stamp set on a 5.25″ x 4″ panel, and then again onto masking paper. I fussy cut out the masking paper, and added it to the top of the mountain on my panel.

Then I used Maker Forte’s slimline “Clouds” stencil and created a pretty sky with “Spun Sugar”, “Squeezed Lemonade” and “Tumbled Glass” oxide inks.

Then I used the “Grass” slimline stencil and “Mowed Lawn” oxide ink to create the bottom of my card panel. I did not worry about the middle section of my card at this point, because I knew it would be covered up with the golfer. I removed the mask, and trimmed down some of the white around the golfer and flag area. I used a black marker on any section that was still white, this helps to cover up any fussy cutting imperfections. I used an acrylic block to stamp “Happy Father’s Day” from the “Men at Play” stamp set. Next, I adhered a black piece of cardstock behind the golfer panel and made a card base out of the same black cardstock (5.5″ x 4.25″). I glued down all my elements to finish up this masculine yet sweet Happy Father’s Day card!

It was so much fun stepping out of my creative box and making a masculine card, I tend to do a lot of pinks and purples! I think this will be a perfect fit for my Father-in-law and I can’t wait to give it to him! The April Subscription Box has so many fun images for masculine cards, I can’t wait to make more for all the wonderful men in my life! Thanks so much for krafting with me again this week! I will be back with another fun project very soon!
