Hi, Hollowers! I’m back with a mini Copic winter scene. I’ve enjoyed sharing Copic scenes featuring the October kit and I hope you have too!

This mini Copic scene started off as an A2 sized scene and then I messed up the pine tree silhouettes on the left-hand side of the card. So, rather than starting over, I trimmed the scene down.

Let the Moon Set the Stage

I started by stamping the moon twice in a light grey pigment ink. First, with 2nd generation stamping and second with regular stamping to create more dimension.

Next, I used Copic Sketch markers in B00 and B91 directly around the moon. Then I made my way out from the moon with B93, B95, B97, and B99. I held my marker more horizontal to the page to create thick strokes/flicks. I did not take the time to blend smoothly which added texture and the suggestion of wind and movement to the sky.

Adding the Silhouettes

I stamped the reindeer silhouette and tree silhouettes in black pigment ink. The scale of these stamps is perfect for scenes in the distance. Next, I used a Copic 0 marker to draw a pine tree in the foreground. Simply run your marker up the edge of the cardstock and then scribble in thick branches with the side of your marker.

Finishing Touches

For the background panel, I dry embossed a white A2 panel with the snowflake stencil and ink blended light blue ink before removing the stencil.

To finish off the card, I white heat embossed the sentiment on a black cardstock strip and added white splatter. Lastly, I scribbled white ink at the base of the trees with a Sakura Gelly Roll to add more texture.

That’s a wrap, you guys! I’ll be back soon with inspiration for the November box! For more inspiration with the October box, check out my other posts here: Is That a Gift Card?, Copic Colored Snowmen, and Copic Winter Scene for Beginners.
