Today’s card is a simple one but I think it strikes a big impact. I love the music theme this month and I think the sentiments go perfect with the images. To start I choose a piece of Rebellion Red cardstock and cut it down to 4.25″ x 5.5″. Then I took a heart die from my stash and cut the center of out of the panel. I do when this I want to save paper, as I am going to cover it with my front panel. I cut a white panel down to 4″ x 5.25″ and put it in my Misti, in the horizontal position.
Next, I used the Negative Circle from the A2 Spotlight Circle stencil as a template in the center on my card panel. This stencil is perfect to line up all the instruments from Music Speaks in a circular pattern. I arranged the instruments so I could put the sentiment in the middle which is also from Music Speaks. Next, I picked up the stamps with the lid of my Misti. Then, I used some temporary tape to attach the heart to the center of my white card panel. Next, I inked up the instruments with Eclipse Black ink and stamped them several times. Carefully, I removed the heart and stamped the images again so they were completely filled in on the white panel.
For the next step, I used liquid glue to attach the heart directly over the stamped images on my panel. I used the images to line up and have a seamless match from the white to red on the heart. For my red mat layer, I used a distress tool from my stash to give some rough edges for texture. Then I used glue to attach my panel and mat to a A2 white card base. For a final touch, I found some flat back pearls from my stash to add a little extra bling.
