Hello friends!! Today I am sharing with you how I created this no-mess glitter snowflake background card – well, no mess as in the glitter won’t shed or rub off.  To start, I created my background by doing some ink blending first. I used three different ink colors – all from Lawn Fawn (Forget-Me Not, Fresh Lavender, and Plastic Flamingo).  Once I was happy with the blend, I used the stencil from the October 2019 box, adhered it to my background piece with some low tack tape, and used my Tonic Nuvo Shimmer Paste in Moonstone to create the beautiful sparkle and shine.  I think it really stands out with this ink blended background.

I removed my stencil, and cleaned up my work surface, stencil and tools, and set my panel aside to air dry.  Next, I stamped out the snowman, and his hat, and colored him in with Copic Markers.  Once I was finished with the coloring, I “fussy cut” him out and the hat.  I also set those pieces aside to work on my sentiment.  The sentiment comes from Altenew and it is just this one stamp that reads “Believe in the Magic of the Season”.  I thought that sentiment went well with my snowman and the background nicely.  I took a piece of scrap black card stock, prepped it with a powder bag, and stamped the sentiment with my clear sticky ink – added some white embossing powder and then set it with my heat tool.  I took a stitched rectangle die, and die cut the sentiment out, and purposely left some room on the right side to add my snowman.  I adhered my snowman to my sentiment piece with liquid adhesive, and then added foam tape on the whole thing, and added it to my background once it was completely dry.  To complete my card, I adhered everything to a black A2 size card base, and took my white gel pen and added some white highlights to my snowman’s hate, and scarf.

I love how it sparkles and signs, especially when it catches the light.  So festive!!  I hope this inspires you all with more ways to use your stencils and adding these cute stamped images to pair with it!  I will be back soon with another post to hopefully inspire you!!  See you then!!
