I have a fun card for you today using goodies from previous recent Hedgehog Hollow boxes. You know these boxes not only come with awesome stampsets, but they often come with embellishments or supplies like ink, embossing powder or patterned paper that you can dip in and out of months later.
For my card today, I’m using the largest floral from the August 2019 box, designed by the wonderful Alex Syberia. Rather than color it, I decided to heat emboss it on patterned paper. The paper from the June 2019 box was perfect! It included several watercolor look papers which had lovely graduated purple and blue-green washes on them.
I heat embossed the flower twice, once on the blue-green paper and once on the purple-white paper using the WOW!/Hedgehog Hollow Plum Shift Craft embossing powder from the July 2019 box. I then fussy cut out each of the leaves and the flower separately, being sure to go outside of the embossing powder line. To add depth, I added a bit of shading with some teal Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers around the tops of the leaves.
I heat embossed the flower one more time onto a panel of white cardstock from the August box and using liquid glue, adhered the fussy cut leaves in place. Before I added the main flower, I stamped several of the leafy images from one of the Alex Syberia stamp sets in the August Box in Gina K Amalgam black ink. I then popped the main flower up on foam squares. I also colored in the stem with two shades of brown Clean Color Markers. I also stamped some of the dot stamps using purple and blue Zig markers.
As a final touch, I stamped my sentiment (from the July box) in black ink and added some Sparkling Clear sequins. I popped it all up on a white cardbase to finish!
Love how this turned out and so simple!
