Calling all pug lovers! This is Victoria and I am back with a fun card using the Pugs and Kisses Stamp Set from the July 2020 Hedgehog Hollow Subscription Box. This stamp set features some of the cutest pug images, perfect for making an associate of fun cards!
For this project, I used:
- Pug and Kisses Stamp Set
- Starburst Stencil
- Dye Inks by Catherine Pooler
- Momento Tuxedo Black Ink
- Tonic Alcohol Markers
- Copie Alcohol Markers
- Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Craft Die (optional)
- 4.25 x 5.5 inch white card stock base
- 3.75 x 5.0 inch white card base
To begin, I stamped one of the pug and the doggy bowl images on a piece of white card stock using Momento Tuxedo Black ink. After stamping the images, I used a heat tool quickly dry the ink. Once dried, I colored each image using alcohol markers by Tonic Studios and Copic. After all of the images were colored, I fussy cut each one, leaving a small white border around all of the images.
Next, using the Starburst stencil and Catherine Pooler dye-based inks, I created a sunburst design on a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card panel. I positioned the stencil toward the bottom right of the panel and alternated coordinating ink colors, starting with the Catherine Pooler All that Jazz, and blending Mardi Grass and Limoncello inks, moving the ink toward the top left of the card panel. For the sentiment I used the Pug Life stamp, along with a piece of white card stock, and Momento Tuxedo black ink. I trimmed the sentiment and positioned it as shown.
To complete the card, I trimmed the color blended card panel to 3.75 x 5.00 inches using a rectangle stitched border die by Lawn Fawn. I adhered the panel to a 4.25 x 5.5 inch white card stock base. To the panel, I adhered the pug and doggy bowl images, along with the sentiment, using foam tape. OPTIONAL: To the bones on the doggy bowl images, I applied clear Nuvo Crystal Drops by Tonic Studios for a bit of interest and dimension.
I love how this card came out! All of the Pug and Kisses images are perfect for a variety of card and crafty projects. If you love this stamp set, let us know in the comments section! Thanks so much for stopping by!
