Hi everybody, welcome back to another blog by Lu.
It is the beginning of a new month, which means we are bringing your brand new stamps and products for you to see.
I am so excited to show you all of the new products from the July subscription box from the hedgehog Hollow.
I have had the stamps for a while and I have been dying to play with them and show all of the cute little critters and the cute sushi and food elements from the different stamp sets.
For my project today I am quite possibly making the easiest, quickest card I have ever made. I wanted to showcase one of the little pugs from the large stamp set from this month’s subscription. It literally took me about seven minutes to finish the card from beginning to end.
I started out by stamping my little pug on a piece of Hammermill paper using copic proof Ink. I went ahead and colored it and then fussy cut the dog out using scissors. I then proceeded to find a piece of pattern paper that I wanted to go with this and I chose this yellow paper with white polkadots on it because it looked cute to me.
I ran my paper through my die cutting machine using one of the dies from Gina Marie Designs dies which gave my paper this beautiful scalloped edge with stitched detail.
I mounted these pattern paper onto a piece of white card stock that measured 4 1/4 x 5 1/2“. Now my paper is ready for the pug that I colored and a sentiment.
First I placed my Little dog where I thought I wanted it to be before I decided where the sentiment would go, the dog is looking up towards the left so I positioned him towards the right bottom corner and then using my Misty I placed the sentiment sorta above where he was in a place that would make sense for the sentiment to be. I stamped the sentiment three times using the Misti using Versafine detail Ink and then I put some fun foam on the back of my dog to give him some dimension and glued him in the previous position that I had decided he would go. And that is literally it, I am so happy with how this cat turned out.
That is it for me this week, thank you so much for joining me with this simple card. I hope I was able to inspire you to create something. If you haven’t yet, make sure you sign up for the hedgehog hollow subscription box before they are out of stock. The stamps this month are to die for!
