Hello, it’s Kari V. here with my last card inspiration for the September Kit! Today I have a little masked peacock card that is so easy and quick…it would be a simple, mass-produced card. (Sometimes we need these cards in our life!)
First, I masked off a strip of paper on my white card base using 1 1/2″ purple tape. Then I taped the stencil to this masked paper and brushed on some ink in three colors.
Next, I removed the purple tape. I covered the stenciled portion of the card with a scrap piece of paper before stamping the peacock’s top portion of the stamp together with the sentiment. I used Versafine Onyx black ink in a MISTI to get a good impression.
I then added some gold washi tape on either side of the sentiment strip, matted it onto a dark blue cardstock, and attached it to the card base. Done! So simple, but so striking.
To dress this card up a little more, you could add sequins, Nuvo drops, or glitter. But today I thought I would keep it simple (I know…shocking!) I sometimes love the simplicity of just ink.
I hope you enjoyed this project today. I will be back very soon with more inspiration!
