There’s one thing that I like to have around the house, and that’s note cards. You never know when you might need to send a quick note to…well anyone. With that thought in mind, today I’m making a set of super quick note cards for any occasion. Maybe you need to send a little note to your child’s teacher to thank them for going the extra mile. Or a note of encouragement to a friend going through a rough time.
When I make note cards, I don’t put any sentiments on them. And it’s a rare instance that I go back and add a stamped or die-cut sentiment to these kinds of cards. These are sets of cards I keep in my catch-all-drawer, so when I need them, there they are.
I used the circular stamp from the Just a Phase set in the January kit from The Hedgehog Hollow as my main focal image on every card. I used my batch card making process to create these cards quickly. (Here’s the link to how I do my batch card making.)
For this set of note cards, I used black and white with a bright pop of color. I like using black and white because it keeps the color combinations neutral. And what I mean is that the card can go to a dude or a dudette. This is also a great way to use some of that patterned paper that’s been gathering dust! Hahaha! It’s what I did here. I pulled out some patterned paper that’s a million years old to use.
The finished size of these cards is 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. Make your note cards whatever size you want them to be. There are no rules to what size a notecard has to be.
I usually don’t worry about envelopes for these kinds of note cards, but you can always make envelopes with an envelope punch board, Cricut, or Silhouette. The important thing to remember about making note cards for any occasion is to keep them super simple and color-neutral.
