Hey crafty people!
It’s Jess, and it’s time for another card featuring this month’s peacock themed subscription box. By now, I know you’ve all seen this month’s box, and I’m so in love with the projects the team has been creating. Today, we’re going to do some second generation stamping and add in a fun, colorful focal point.
For my card, I decided on some second generation stamping with one of the border images from ‘Feather Borders.’ I used the same image repeatedly, first inking up and stamping directly onto my card stock, then stamping the same image again immediately without reinking. This technique gives a really cool shadowed effect and is excellent for layering or creating depth in your project.
I stamped out the gorgeous peacock from ‘Peacock Silhouettes & Sentiments’ and colored it with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. I used some pretty shades of turquoise, pink, and purple. Then, I fussy cut the peacock.
I grabbed my Mini MISTI and stamped the delicate sentiment up in the top portion of my card. I love how this allows the sentiment to stand out and gives it room to shine. I popped the peacock up on foam for some dimension and gave it a healthy coat of shimmer with the Clear Sparkle Overlay from Spectrum Noir.
I popped the card panel up on some thick foam tape and adhered it to a white A2 sized card base. For the finishing touch, I added a few clear acrylic drops.

Hugs and love,
