Hello, it’s Kari here today with some selective stenciling. The stencils in the February Kit are full of cute images, and they can be stenciled in different colors to showcase those images. Have you ever done selective stenciling? Today I’m sharing an easy way to highlight those cats & dogs.

For the cat card I chose some soft pink, orange, and grey inks. I taped the stencil to the white cardstock, then taped around each of the kitty images. I used a brush to ink on some soft pink color. Since I taped around each of the kitties, I was able to only ink up that cat and not any of the images around it.

Once I had inked all the kitties, I then taped around the fishes and added some soft grey ink. Then I taped around the paw prints and inked them in a soft orange. Don’t they look cute in different colors?

I removed that cat stencil and put the heart stencil over the top, inking it up with a black ink. The heart stencil is much larger than an A2 sized card, so I offset it to only show the left side of the heart.

I stamped the large LOVE stamp on the left bottom portion of the panel and added a glitter pink heart to the paw print. For the last touch, I added some pink glitter tape to the bottom of the panel.

For the dog card, I used the stencil with the paw prints and dog bones. For this one, I taped around the dog bones and inked them up in grey. Then I taped around the paw prints and inked the top prints in Speckled Egg Distress Ink, and the bottom prints in Evergreen Bough Distress Ink.

I put the heart stencil on the inked panel, this time using the right side of the stencil that has the giant paw print. (I love this giant paw print!) I inked this up with black ink and added a green heart to the center of the paw print.

That sheep dog image and sentiment is from one of the VERY FIRST Hedgehog Hollow Kits ever! It is no longer available, but I do love this image so much!

I colored the dog up with Copic markers and popped him up on the card with foam tape. For the sentiment strip, I inked up the cardstock with Evergreen Bough ink to match the paw prints. Then I stamped the sentiment “Woof You” with black ink.

I hope you enjoyed these projects today! Remember, you can get this kit if you sign up for the subscription kit before the 14th of the month (if you sign up after that, you will receive the March Kit as your first kit).

I’ll be back soon with more card inspiration!
