I created a card that makes me so happy today! I was delighted when I went out to the mailbox yesterday and found the Hedghehog Hollow May kit in my mailbox. I needed a boost and what a fabulous kit this was! Needless to say, I started creating right away.

As soon as I saw the stamp with the palm trees, beach cabana and sun, I knew exactly what I wanted to create!

What a perfect summer card kit! There are so many images in the Luau stamp set. All those images and none of them need to be colored in! You can just stamp them in your favorite color and it’s done.

I pulled out my Circle Spotlight Stencil and ink blended a sunset with Color Hive inks in Yellowstone, Red Leicester, Coral Keys, Flamingo, and Grape.

The spotlight stencil allows you to create a focal point anywhere on your card that you want it. I simply stamped my image on top of the ink blended circle with the stencil still in place. Then a simple stamped sentiment finished off my card.

It felt good to sit down and create a pretty card in about 10 minutes. Crafting is my therapy and sometimes, I only have a few minutes to create a project. This was perfect!

Next time I have a chance, I will be playing with the patterned papers in the kit. I love that they are A2 sized papers. I feel less guilty about cutting down a 6 x 6″ piece and never using the left-over bits this way. It’s perfect!

In my video below, you can see my process and check out how I fixed a couple of common oopsie moments as well!
