Hi Hollowers!

Today is the post I have been teasing you with all week, I was lucky enough to be sent a set from the new Simon Says Stamp April release called Mothers Flowers and Fathers.  You can view the whole release here.  I was in love the moment I opened the envelope and I knew it was a great set to showcase, I was intending to make something completely different but I had a happy accident and created this technique!  I have called it reverse stamping as you make any stamp into a 2-step stamp by using the reverse! Here are the cards I am going to show you how to create…

I create both cards at once, using a first stamp for the bold one on the right and the pastel one is the stamp off image on the left, in the video I mis them up a bit to show you a third variation.  I also added sequins to the ones above for some extra sparkle and dimension.  I also decide the insides needed some love so here is the more pastel one with a rose stamp in distress oxides and the sentiment in MFT Hybrid black.

For the bold card I created this pretty corner detail tied together with the heart and again the sentiment is in MFT Hybrid…

Remember the teaser…

This picture also shows really well the pink under stamping on the Best Mom sentiment…

Of course now you want to know how to ‘reverse stamp’, so here is a full tutorial where we create two cards at once, I also added some different sentiments in case you have needs for other occasions…

Now for a supply list, I can’t link up the stamp set as I write this but you can find the whole new release here, it’s called ‘Best mom Ever’.

Thanks so much for stopping by, hope it was worth the wait for such a beautiful new collection of stamps, tomorrow we will have a round up of our stamp cleaning tips and how to commission a stamp shammy.

Happy stamping!
