Hey crafty friends!

It’s Jess Francisco from A Card Day’s Work and I’m so excited to be back on The Hedgehog Hollow blog with you today. I’m guest designing for November, so let’s get crafty!

I wanted to create a simple but elegant card. I started off by using some gorgeous kraft cardstock and the ‘believe’ stencil from the November box. I used Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide. I love this tone on tone effect!

After the ink blending was done, I went around the edges of my panel with the ink pad. I applied the ink directly to the paper to help give the card a rustic feeling.

Next, I grabbed a few bottles of Stickles in Christmas Colors and got to work! I carefully applied the Stickles over a select few stars and ornaments. The effect is so elegant and, because we didn’t cover every single star and bauble, doesn’t overcomplicate the card.

I set the card aside to dry overnight. You don’t want to rush the drying time on these! There’s nothing worse than thinking your project is ready to go and ending up with smeared glitter glue where it shouldn’t be.

Once the Stickles were nice and dry, I added some foam tape to the back on the panel and mounted it on a white A2 sized card base. I wanted to keep this card simple, so I didn’t add any additional embellishments.

If you’d like to see how the card came together, be sure to check out the quick video below or HERE on YouTube.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I hope you have a wonderful day and that you get some crafty time in.

Hugs and love,
