Hello! It’s Jill from Jill Cameron Creations with my first card using the August Kit which has an adorable ‘bee’ theme! I made a super simple shaker card that is still pretty flat and mails easily! Check it out!

First, I stamped the outline and the solid image of the honeycomb shape. I stamped the outline in black and the inside in yellow and orange.

Next, I used my PixScan mat with my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the inside and around the edge of the images.

Then, I used liquid glue to adhere the outline image to a piece of acetate. I hand cut the acetate around the outline image once the glue dried.

I poured a few of the bee confetti from the kit in the center of the background honeycomb image. Using dry and liquid adhesive I glued the acetate to the background. It’s important that you only use glue around the edges of the honeycomb so the bees can move freely. They aren’t going to move much they still move.

I stamped, colored, and fussy cut one of the bee images from the kit. Also, I white heat embossed a sentiment on black cardstock and gave a little extra punch with gold cardstock and an angled end. I popped up both the bee and the sentiment.

The background of the card is ink blended Speckled Egg Distress Ink with water splatters and black watercolor splatters.

I hope you enjoyed this card and buzz on over to the shop and pick up your kit today.
