Hello! It’s Jill from Jill Cameron Creations with a simple stenciled background card. The stamps and stencil are from the March kit.
This card is a little non-traditional for the color scheme I used. I used blue, red, white, and silver. Usually, a card with the sentiment of love is in reds and pinks with some floral motif. This is a great masculine card!
To create the background, I used Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and the stencil included in the March kit. If you’ve never used Embellishment Mousse, it’s the texture of cold butter. You’ll need to work with it a little bit to get it to smooth into the stencil.
When I stencil anything I like to tape my paper to the BACK side of the stencil. This way you can move the stencil and the paper around to make sure you can get in all of the tiny little corners.
Also, I did something that scares lots of stampers; I cut apart the long sentiment “loved beyond measure”. You can string the sentiments back together if you want to later but I needed a stacked sentiment for this particular card.
I stacked and embossed the sentiment then cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo (which I demonstrated in the video). Then I sprinkled tiny confetti hearts over the entire front of the panel. I used a jewel picker to pick up the confetti and then place a dot of glue and put the heart back down.
Finally, I trimmed down the panel and put it on a matching gray card base. I hope you liked today’s card and don’t forget to head over to the shop and pick up your Hedgehog Hollow kit today!https://linkdeli.com/widget.js?1559654439292
