Hello! It’s Jill from Jill Cameron Creations with a simple slimline Father’s Day card using stamps from the April Hedgehog Hollow Monthly Kit. These images are so much fun! Let’s take a look!
Slimline card panels
Slimline cards are just taller versions of an A2 card. There are many sizes for this type of card but I like the 9″ x 4 1/4″ card. For this card, I used kraft colored cardstock for the base and the topmost panel.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the panels because I wanted a stitched detail on each panel and I don’t have any dies for a slimline sized card. You can also use an A2 die by not cutting one end of the die and then shifting the die to finish the cut.
The rest of the Father’s Day Card
I used the bowtie image from another stamp set in the April kit to create a subtle background on the top panel.
I stamped the suit images in dark green ink then stamped over them in Versamark ink to add clear embossing powder over each image. Then I used my PixScan mat to die cut each image.
I popped up the suit images with some foam tape as well as the white embossed sentiment. Check out the video for tips on adding a border to your panel quickly and easily.
