Hello! It’s Kari here today with some holiday projects using the September kit! Today I’m focusing on the Starlight Mints stencil included in the kit…and I LOVE it! I couldn’t stop making projects, so I have 3 cards and a gift tag for you.
Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:
I love these projects…the first one I made was the chocolate mint (remember those green and chocolate brown mints?!) I haven’t seen these in a long time, and I haven’t eaten one in years! But I think they are delicious and so this card was created.
I love the black and white slimline panels from Maker Forte that are FOILABLE! I foiled this background in green foil, and then popped the front panel up on fun foam. Is it cheating to call a green mint CHOCOLATE?!
My next project was a traditional starlight mint slimline card.
This starlight mint was screaming for glitter gel! Lol. I love glitter and this white glitter gel was so pretty on a mint!! I did the traditional slimline size, added a sentiment outlined with gold glitter and finished it off with gold baubles.
It’s difficult to see the glitter in these pictures, but maybe you can see it better here:
I loved the glitter gel so much, that I just HAD to create some gift tags with them also. So I cut them out with a circle die and added them onto an ornament shape I cut with my Silhouette.
A candy striped red & white baker’s twine looks so cute on those starlight mints ornaments!
Since the “Merry” sentiment I die cut has an inside piece and an outside outline, I had an extra merry opposite of the red one I cut for my slimline card. I must use it!
I created the A2 size card to use that extra diecut word! I just used the same stencil and placed those mints arbitrarily on the A2 panel. (see the video to see details on this).
This time I cut 3 extra of the letters to build up that sentiment. I love the dimension on this. I used some fog ink on the “white” parts of the mints so it would jump out from the white background.
