What a beautiful day we are having. I am sharing a card made using paper and ephemera from the Hedgehog Hollow monthly subscription kit released recently. I love how the kits make card making so easy and simple. It is a matter of choosing the pieces of ephemera you want to use and pairing them with the coordinating paper. I enjoy working with the kit because they are so thoughtfully put together.
I invite everyone to give them a try and you will find you too will be hooked on them like I am.
First choose the pieces you want to use. I picked out three flowers in the red, white and blue colors. Next pick the sentiment to go along with the theme of the card. At this point I decided to add a twine bow to the card and made one.
The next step is to pick out coordinating paper from the kit. Again I chose the red, white and blue striped and starred paper. To this I added a solid blue as my card base. Next I die cut a brown frame to tie all the pieces together. The card will be a standard 5×7 inch card.
the final step is to assemble all the pieces. I glued the pieces together in a pleasing design. To give some dimension I used foam tape under the sentiment and one flower. At this point I added a few faceted embellishments to add sparkle. The frame was used to anchor all the pieces.
This is a colorful card made without having to use ink. How easy and simple is it to make cards using this monthly kit? Follow along to see more cards made using the monthly subscription kit.
