I get so excited to open my Hedgehog Hollow monthly kit when It comes. Well, this month is definitely my favorite so far! I cannot express how much I love the layering VW van stencil.
The first card I made using the layering stencil. I loved it so much that I didn’t want to cover up the adorable vans so I just went with a sentiment on top!
The colors I used to stencil the vans were Frappe, Icy Mist, Fog, Eclipse Black and I finished the Headlights with English Mustard Color Hive ink. To finish this card, I stamped the sentiment using Eclipse black and die cut it with the circle from the Maker Forte Well Said die set. I layered it on a circle of Frozen Fog cardstock cut using the Maker Forte Nested circle dies. Then, I layered the stenciled panel on a Frozen Fog card base.
For the next card, I ink blended Fog Color Hive ink over the tie dye stencil. Then, stamped out two of the van images from the stamps included in the kit.
Originally, I planned to use the van image with the van background but changed my mind. These, two vans were stamped using Eclipse Black ink. (Make sure it is completely dry before the next steps.)
I masked the peace sign circle and windows of the clean van. Then, Ink blended Frappe Color Hive ink over the exposed parts. This is where I should have made sure my Eclipse Black ink was dry before blending. My Frappe ink smeared some of the eclipse black but I really liked the color it made so I left it the way it was.
To finish the van, I trimmed out the van then glued the lower tie dye part of the van over the Frappe ink blended van. I used a Copic marker to add lines to the window and Crystal Clear Makers Magic to the headlights. To finish this card, I stamped the sentiment on the fog tie dye background and added the van using foam tape. Then, I added this panel to a Frozen Fog card base. I just love how these turned out!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
