Hi Krafty Friends, Jen from Katahdin Krafts, back on the blog today with another yummy card. I’ve been having so much fun with this months box! Who doesn’t love a good dessert?

Starting my card I cut a piece of cardstock 8.75″ x 3.75″. I wanted to use the spotlight trio rectangle stencil’s negative spaces for my project. I sprayed the stencils four sections with Pixie Spray. I then centered the large piece on my cardstock and added the negative pieces in the spaces. Next, I removed the outside larger part of the stencil, this left the rectangle spaces on the cardstock perfectly lined up. I was then able to use oxide inks in “Kitsch Flamingo” and “Chipped Sapphire” to blend around the card forming a background for the rectangle sections.

Next, I stamped a cupcake from the “You Bake Me Happy” stamp set in the first and the last sections. I layered this adorable cupcake with the heart stencil made to fit perfectly into the cupcake liner, and then the sweet sprinkles that fit the icing. Then I selected an punny from the “Sweet Sentiments” set and stamped that into the middle space. Next, I colored my images with Copic Markers in a rainbow palette, coloring both cupcakes the same way (I kept my coloring very simple and sweet for this card). In order to jazz up the middle section I used the same Copic Markers to make little random dots, the look I achieved reminded me of confetti! Finishing off my card I added three gems to the corners of my cupcake images, keeping with the symmetrical vibe. Then I adhered my card panel to my 9″ x 4″ card base.

Thanks so much for krafting with me again this week! I absolutely love this subscription box full of sweet treats! I hope you do as well! I will see you all again next month with some more inspiration, happy krafting!
