Hi, y’all, Susan from Susan Makes again! I have loved guest designing for Hedgehog Hollow and using this month’s Hedgehog Hollow Subscription box, Day of the Dead! Today, I will teach you how to make this CUTE Z-Fold Sugar Skull mask card that uses the Sugar Skull die set from the subscription box. But, the most fun thing is that it GLOWS IN THE DARK! Ready to learn how I made this card?

Check out the video below:

Be sure to watch the video to see the technique in action! If for some reason, the video is missing, you can view it on my YouTube Channel.

I have kept myself busy using this adorable box and have already done several other projects using it. Be sure and check out the Always Forever Card Using Deco Foil that features the Rose Stencil from the box, as well the Gatefold Magic Iris Card featuring the Dia De Los Muertos stamp set from the box.

I love the Sugar Skull die set. It cut beautifully, even through the vinyl. The die is so intricate, I was worried that I would be weeding the details for a week, but most of the details popped out on their own and only required a little weeding. It cut like a dream! The details on the Sugar Skull are so pretty.

This is a pretty simple card to make, but the z-fold makes it more unique and the Sugar Skull looks fantastic on the front, especially with the use of the Yellow Opal and Glow in the Dark vinyl from Style Tech craft that was included in the September 2020 box. They were an excellent addition to the box and so much fun to work with.

The Aztec print paper from the No Prob Llama paper pad was a nice addition to the whole Day of the Dead theme. The hot pink foiling on the cardstock worked really lovely with the Yellow Opal vinyl. The Day of the Dead Words Stamp Set had some fitting sentiments that make this whole box perfect for so many occasions.

But the MOST fun thing about working with the September 2020 box was the glow in the dark vinyl included in it. When I saw it, I couldn’t wait to use it. I figured out pretty quickly that I wanted to use it with the Sugar Skull die set. I love how my sugar skull mask card turned out, and I hope you do too!
