Hello my fellow hollowers!

Welcome back! This week I am bringing you a super adorable and very summer like card that I have created using the stamp sets that come in the August subscription box.

First off, if you haven’t seen the contents of the box, I did a live opening last week, just scroll down through the blog posts and you’ll be able to find. It.

Alrighty, let’s get to this week’s card.

As you would have already figured it out by now, the theme for the contents of the box is bees. The stamp sets in the subscription box are just to die for. Specially that layering honeycomb pattern, the moment I saw it I just knew I had to play with it right away!

I started out by stamping the filler stamp first. I used a stampin up yellow ink and my misti to ensure precise placement. I stamped it about 3 times until I was sure it had the same color all throughout. Next I placer the outline stamp on top of my previously worked oh honeycomb pattern, making sure it aligned correctly.

I used versafine detail ink so I could get a crisp impression of the outlines.

I cut out a portion of the stamped paper using a pretty layering for from Gina Marie designs and also two other pieces using the bigger dies from the same set so I could layer them on top of each other. I decided to go with a yellow and black color combo because of, well, bees! Lol

I had previously stamped the hive and the bee on a piece of paper and I colored them using copic markers and proceeded to fussy cut them out.

I chose a white card base and I inked it with a light yellow ink to give it some interest.

I placed all my pieces on the card base and glued everything down and picked out a sentiment from one of the sets.

I layered the sentiment on top of a yellow piece of paper and gave one of the ends a fish tail cut.

And that is it! This was is easy to make yet so super cute.

I truly hope I was able to inspire you to use your subscription box in maybe a manner you hadn’t thought of before.

That’s it for me this week! Thanks so much for reading and being a hollower!
