Hello again! It’s Kari and today I have a Sweet Gingerbread House scene to share using product from the November kit. I was so excited about all the cute images from the kit this month and I just knew I had to build a scene.

I took all the images and stamped them out and colored with Copics. Then I stamped a few extra gumdrops, colored them up, and sprinkled them with my favorite Rock Candy Clear Glitter. Adding the glitter really makes them look like real sugar-coated gumdrops! I added all the gumdrops to the top of the gingerbread house.

This sweet gingerbread house made me think of our Christmas tradition of decorating gingerbread houses! Gumdrops are the perfect rooftop decoration. Lol.

I also colored up some candy canes and one lone peppermint starlit candy to add to the scene. I gave the girl a big green bow and the boy a red and green scarf. They are each holding their sweet treats! The lollipop has a bit of added Stardust Stickles glitter (I couldn’t resist)!

I popped up that window on the house to give it more dimension and added glossy accents to the window panes.

For the background, I inked on some Distress Oxide ink in Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans, and Concord Grape. Then I used a snowfall stencil to add Texture Paste to make it look like it is snowing. I finished it all off with a hand-drawn “wooden” door and a scalloped frame.

Here’s a close up of those beautifully “sugared” gumdrops! I hope you can see some of the dimension on this card, too. I added foam tape on the entire house, on the candy canes, the window, and the gingerbread people. The lollipop has double foam.

I hope you enjoyed this project today and that it inspired you to make a sweet gingerbread scene of your own with this kit!

See you next time,

Kari
