Hello! It’s Kari here with a sweet nativity card today. I couldn’t wait to use this adorable set from the November Hedgehog Hollow Kit! I used masking and Copic coloring on this scene card, and I share a few tips along the way.

Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I started by stamping the stable, then masked it off with masking paper. Then I inked on the background using only two Distress Inks: Dusty Concord & Black Soot. The star was colored with Copic Markers and a little distress ink in Mustard Seed.

To add the gold splatters, I simply watered down some gold paint, added it to an acrylic block, and used a paintbrush to splatter it off the edge of the block. I love this look on a starry night. I set that aside to dry while I colored the images.

For the images, I used Copic markers. I list the colors below if you are interested:

Greens: YG93, YG95, YG97, YG99
Blues: BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78
Browns: E23, E25, E27
Purple: V17
Yellows: YR21, YR23
Skin Tones: E50, E51, E53, E55, R11

For the animals, I used Neutral grays and Warm Grays. The sentiment is heat embossed in gold, and I chose “O Come Let Us Adore Him.” There are so many great sentiments in this set!

Then, I attached all the images with liquid adhesive, except baby Jesus… I added foam tape to pop him up.

I hope you enjoyed this project today. I’ll be back soon with more cards to share!
