Hello again! It’s Kari. Today I have a fun shaker card using some small elements in the November box to create the background. Once you get all the elements stamped and colored, the card comes together pretty quickly…and that’s a bonus this time of year!

Here’s the shaker card:

First, cut a circle out of the front panel, trace it with a pencil and stamp the small peppermint images in the circle. Then, color them up in reds. (I used colored pencil on all images for this card)

Second, stamp the gingerbread people on brown cardstock and ink around the edges using Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. Using white colored pencil, color in the icing outlines.

Third, stamp the peppermint sticks and color them up in red colored pencil.

Fourth, White heat emboss the sentiment, then ink the Front panel using blue Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass and Worn Jeans.

Fifth, Add acetate to the window. Put snow flakes (mica flakes) on the background peppermints. Using foam tape, attach the front panel to the back panel.

Last, add your Gingerbread Men, peppermint sticks and a wreath around the circle. I used a Spring Sprig from Lawn Fawn to create my wreath. Now, add some Winter Berries Nuvo glitter to some of the berries.

Isn’t this a fun card? Here you can see the red glitter a little better. It hasn’t fully dried yet…but when it does those berries will be so glittery! I’m always a little impatient to get my photographs taken. Lol.

The gingerbread men are fabulous stamped on brown cardstock…then just a little inking around the edges and white colored pencil really make them pop!

I hope you enjoyed this project! See you next time,
