Hi Krafty Friends, Jen from Katahdin Krafts up on the blog today with this Beary cute card from the November Subscription Box.

I picked a pretty plaid paper from Whimsy Stamps “Tartan” paper pack, and some Kraft Cardstock from Bazzill for my card base.

I stamped my images from “Forest Friends” on a 110# cardstock with Copic friendly ink. Then cut my card base to 8.5″ x 5.5″ and scored at the 4.25″ mark. I cut my pattern paper down to 5.5″ x 1.75″

I lined my sentiment from “Animal Greetings” on my Misti and stamped it in Jet Black ink.

Then I colored up my cute little bears using Copic Markers.

  • Fur: E43, E44 and E47. Face: E42 & E43. Nose: E47
  • Reds: R17, R24 and R27.
  • Greens: YG61 & YG67.

Then I fussy cut my images out. I cut a thin strip of black cardstock to 5.5″ x .25″. Then adhered all the pieces of my card to the card base.

I wanted to fill in some of the empty space on my card, so I used the hearts from “Forest Friends.”

To finish up my beary cute card I added a green flower and red button (like on her hat) from my stash onto the card for interest. I also added two small dots onto the red center of her hat flower, to mimic a button.

This was a fun yet simple card to make! You could easily change up the sentiment and make a Holiday Card, or this would make a great Thank You for Holiday Gifts received! The December Box has all sorts of critters included, for lots of cute scene cards! Thanks for stopping in and krafting with me today! See you in a couple of weeks!
