Hey Krafty Friends, Jen from Katahdin Krafts, up on the blog today with this fun Father’s Day Card. The April Subscription Box has so many masculine projects ideas to choose from! I saw the ephemera tools and instantly thought of them hanging on a pegboard!

The first thing I did, was look through my stash to find a “pegboard.” I found the perfect die, Lawn Fawn’s, “Its Bitsy Polka Dot Backdrop.” I cut the backdrop onto a piece of 5.25″ x 4″ white cardstock.

Next, I selected the ephemera from the April Box, that I thought would “hang” well on the peg board.

Then I cut 1/16″ strips of black card stock for my “pegs”. I measured each piece to fit between the peg holes for each tool. Then I cut two smaller pieces of cardstock, and glued them on the edges, forming a tool hanger. For the hand saw, I used a hole punch to hollow out the handle.

I then glued all the tools and hangers on the pegboard, with my precision tipped glue, trimming any areas if needed.

For my sentiment I used “Thank you for building me up” from the “Men at Play” stamp set. I stamped it on a strip of white cardstock 3.25″ x .5″ with my Eclipse Black Remarkable Ink, and backed it with a strip of black cardstock an 1/8″ larger than the white.

I used my scissors to make the banners on the right side of each strip, and then adhered it to the front. I then added the card panel to my 5.5″ x 4.25″ black card base.

I put a 5.25″ x 4″ white cardstock panel on the inside of the card, and stamped “Happy Father’s Day” also from the “Men at Play” stamp set. I added another piece of ephemera to the inside of the card for added interest.

What a fun card to make! The ephemera included in the subscription box is so adorable and perfect for this quick and easy card! Thanks so much for krafting with me again this week! I will see you back next month with some May Subscription Box inspiration! Happy krafting!
