Hello friends! It’s Victoria and I am back with a three tone card design using the Seven Days Stamp Set from the April 2020 Subscription Box. This is the perfect design to give to the beer lover in your life!
For this card you will need:
- Seven Days Stamp Set from the April 2020 Subscription Box
- 5 x 6 1/2 inch card base
- 4 3/8 x 5 5/8 inch panel (solid or pattern card stock)
- 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch panel (white card stock)
- Coordinating stamping ink (some variation of light yellow, yellow, light gray, and brown)
- 1 1/2 x 5 inch strip of solid card stock (for the sentiment)
- Embossing Ink
- Embossing Powder (white)
To begin, stamp 3 rows of the beer glass outline stamp from the Seven Days Stamp Set using light gray ink onto the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch white card stock panel. Leave a space between the middle and bottom row for the sentiment.
Next, using the coordinating beer pour solid stamps, stamp the center of each outline glass image, starting with light yellow ink. You can vary the color depending on how light or dark you want the beer in the glass to appear!
Using a slightly dark shade of yellow, stamp the same image again. This time, only apply ink to the bottom half of the solid beer pour stamp.
Lastly, finish this effect with a darker stamp color, again, only applying ink to the lower part of the solid beer pour stamp. For this project I used stamping inks from The Ton Stamps (Beach Blondie, Amber Citrine, and Aspen Cocoa).
Tip: To make layered stamping a bit easier, consider cutting each individual beer pour stamps. The beer pour stamp comes attached as one stamp, however, you can cut them apart to make smaller individual stamps!
Next, create a heat embossed sentiment by stamping the “Seven days without beer makes one weak” stamp on a piece of 1 1/2 x 5 inch strip coordinator card stock, using clear embossing ink and white embossing powder. For this card, I used gray card stock for my sentiment strip.
Adhere the sentiment to the open spot on the stamped card panel. Wrap the ends of the strip around the card panel or trim the ends using scissors or a paper trimmer.
Adhere the stamped card panel to the 4 3/8 x 5 5/8 inch coordinating solid or pattern card stock panel. To finish the card, add the layered panels to a 5 x 6 1/2 inch card base.
