Hello Hedgehog Hollow fans,
I have a colorful celebratory card made using the stamps from the Hedgehog Hollow July Subscription Box. The shapes are so retro I had to use the colors from the fifties. Now for the arrangement of the images. What to do? I often have a plan in my head but it does not always make it to the front of the card. This is one of those times.
I started with cutting strips of white card stock to stamp the shapes onto. Each strip was stamped in a different color and black to unify the strips. I also cut black card stock slightly wider then the white pieces to make them stand out.
Next I stamped the sentiment in the colors of the strips. This was cut out to be attached using foam tape to add dimension th the card front.
The card base was cut out of black card stock and the layer one was cut out of purple paper. Next I glued the layers together. I thought the purple needed something. So I flicked white paint onto it creating fine speckles.
The final step was to assemble all the pieces. Again I decided to do a bit more by adding matching enamel dots. Although this card is not what I had in my mind in the beginning, I am very pleased with the end results. I think we all have gone down this path.
