Hello! It’s Kari here sharing an idea using the September Kit AND the Opal color-changing vinyl that came in the kit. When I first saw that color-changing vinyl my eyes got big and I fell in love! So how about a LOVE themed card?

I used the two people in this stamp set and cut out some flags with the vinyl to create this card:

The flags are made with the color-changing vinyl

Can you see how that vinyl changes colors?! It’s difficult to capture in a photo, but oh-so-beautiful!

To begin this card, I stamped out the two characters and colored them with copic markers. These are so fun to color because of all the detail they have! Here are the Copic colors I used:

Skin: E00, E02, E11;
Hat: W00, W1, W3
Guitar: E50, E51, YG07, YG05
His clothing: G21, G24
Her dress: BV0000, BV00, V15
Flowers: RV02, R20, B05, B01, Y06
Tongues: R17, R27

After the coloring was done, I fussy cut them out. Then I went to work on the background inking. I masked off a small portion for the “ground” and inked on some Black Soot Distress Ink. For the rest of the background, I used Twisted Citron, Broken China, and Faded Jeans inked on with my favorite domed blending tools. I stamped on the sentiment using a MISTI to ensure it stamped perfectly.

I cut the flags out using my silhouette. If you don’t have an electronic cutting machine, this vinyl can also be die cut with any dies you have in your stash!

To put the card together, I adhered the vinyl flags directly to the background and drew in a black string with a Copic Multiliner. Then, I popped up the characters with foam tape.

They do look happy to be together forever!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you are enjoying the September kit as much as I am.
