Hi Everyone, Jenny here, and today I have a super fun card (and video) showcasing the June 2019 Hedgehog Hollow Box, which features lots of fun undersea and ocean stamps and exclusive patterned paper. There is also a gorgeous 6 x 6 sheet of iridescent see-through plastic, and that inspired my card today. I used the sheet as a window for a full panel undersea shaker card.
You can check out the video process over on my channel here:
To create my card, I first die cut a stitched frame rectangle die (by MFT Stamps, not in the kit) three times from the white cardstock included in the kit. I adhered two together with liquid glue, then for the third, I colored it with three shades of blue-green Copics. I trimmed down the iridescent plastic and then sandwiched it between the double frame and the Copic colored frame with liquid glue. I then flipped it over and added a layer of skinny foam strips to the back.
I stamped lots of the seashell images, and the outline stamp of the seahorse in Nuvo Hybrid Black ink (from the April 2019 box) and then colored them in with various shades blue-green and olive Copics, and trimmed them out. I trimmed down a panel of the seaweed patterned paper to just larger than the frame and adhered the images with glue directly to the patterned paper.
For my shaker contents, I used some pearly sequins which included seashells, a blue shaker mix, and some tiny blue bubble beads (both by Honeybee Stamps, not included in the kit) which I poured into the window frame, and then backed with the patterned paper/stamped panel. I flipped it over and trimmed off the excess. I then adhered it to a white card base from the box.
My sentiment was stamped in blue ink onto white cardstock and trimmed out. I then popped it up on foam tape on the front panel. And shake!
I love how this turned out, and this window panel changes from pink, to green, to blue depending on how you tip it. It really looks like the shadowy sea floor when the sun shines through!
