Hello again! It’s Kari and today I have an underwater scene card using the Watercolor Paper from the June Kit.
I love all the paper that came in the Kit! Having designer paper from the Hedgehog Hollow is a first! So I was inspired to create a scene using this paper from the June 2019 Kit.
Watch the video below or in HD at YouTube to see the process video:
The beautiful wave stamps are so fun to create with, and today I white heat embossed them onto the watercolor designer paper. I fussy cut the top to reveal the sun rays (stenciled) onto the card panel below.
I colored up some the of images with Copics, including that amazing jellyfish from the Waves stamp set. Then I fussy cut them out. I adhered some with liquid adhesive directly to the card, and some I popped up with foam tape.
I added a hello die cut sentiment (from my stash) to complete the card, and included a second sentiment found in the kit. There are so many great sentiments to choose from, but I thought “Hello, Ocean Child” was so perfect for this card. For the first card I chose, “Beach more, Worry Less” which is definitely something I need to do myself!
For the sand floor, I used some sand embossing powder (which I think is so cool)! I have this in my stash from Creativation (Emerald Creek brand), but I now think more companies have a sand embossing powder to offer. It looks awesome on a card.
I’ll see you next time with more inspiration and cards to share!
