Hello! It’s Kari back today with 2 more cards to share using the awesome, groovy April kit. Today I have the VW Bus Stencil and a Lava Lamp card. I have to say, I couldn’t remember the name of that “Lava Lamp”…and I never had one as a kid, but I wanted one!

1. VW Bus Card

For this card I used the AMAZING layering stencil that creates a VW bus. I couldn’t decide on a color, until I remembered that beautiful Lime Green LIMEWIRED ink from Maker Forte! Then I couldn’t unsee that as the VW bus color! Lol.

I inked on the Limewired as the base, Icy Mist as the windows, a little fog ink for the top of the bus, and black (inked on very light) for the tires. For the headlights I used some Limewired gems.

The sentiment “Don’t Worry Be Hippie” was perfect for this and I used the die from Simply Stated Die set to cut it out. Then I popped it up with foam tape.

2. Lava Lamp

I just love that lava lamp in this kit! I had to use it along with some of that patterned paper, as well as the printed paper panels. I chose the panel that read “In a gentle way, you can shake the world.”

I stamped out the lava lamp and some of the stamp set icons in a rainbow of colors. I added extra sparkle with some purple GLITTER on that lava lamp. To add the glitter, I simply added a bit of clear Maker’s Magic on the bubbles in the lava lamp, then sprinkled on some glitter and let it dry.

This is a simple card, but full of color and I do love how it turned out!
