Hi there Hollowers! I hope you are doing well and are having fun with the contents of the October Subscription Box . I know that I’ve been having a lot of fun experimenting with the Maker Forte products and can’t wait to show you more in the coming weeks!

For today’s card, I will be using the 6 x8 stamp set that is included in the October box as well as the Color Hive ink. This is a quick and easy card that would be perfect for mass holiday card making production!

The inks that I am using today are from Catherine Pooler. The colors that I used were Rouge, Lime Rickey, Limoncello, Pixie Dust, Orange Twist, and All that Jazz. These inks are dye based inks which makes them perfect for the faux watercoloring technique that I am using on today’s card.

I started out by placing a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock into my stamping platform. Next, I grabbed the wreath stamp from the stamp set and inked up about 1/6 of the stamp (since I will be using six colors, I tried to evenly distribute the ink on the stamp). Then I sprayed a little bit of water onto the inked stamp and then shut the door to my stamping platform onto the Bristol cardstock. This created a watercolor look. I used my heat tool to dry the ink and then repeated the process until I had used all six colors.

I then used Waffle Flower nesting dies to cut the center and outside of the wreath. I decided to fussy cut around the outside of the wreath to give it more of a wreath look, rather than the perfect circle that the die created.

To finish the card, I used a piece of white pearlescent cardstock and embossed that using an embossing folder from my stash. Then, I splattered that cardstock with black splatter and then all of the colors that I used on the wreath except the Limoncello (which would have been too light to see).

The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of vellum using the Maker Forte Color Hive ink and silver embossing powder was used for the sentiment.

I popped up the wreath using circle foam dots and added a ribbon and some rainbow gems and that completes today’s card!

I’d love to see your projects using this Subscription Box. You can post them on The Hedgehog Hollow Box Facebook group as well as Stamping at the Hedgehog Hollow Facebook group.

Until next week, take care!
