Hello Frances, this is Luisana back this week with another blog post, and I am not late this time!! Lol
My family and I went camping last week for about nine days and I am so excited to be back to my craft room and back to my stamps and my copic markers.
This week I am bringing you these super cute, super adorable card that I made using one of the stamp sets from the July subscription box.
I chose to color two of the avocados and two tacos for the card, it was very easy and simple coloring, I wasn’t aiming at realism but more for cuteness.
After I was done coloring my characters I went ahead and fussy cut them using my scissors, and then I proceeded to create the layering back grounds. I wanted these card to be super bright and fun, and for some weird reason, I had the idea of being hot pink in my head from the get go.
So I went ahead and I picked four of my favorite pink ink pads from Stampin Up, and I grabbed a blending sponge and I started color blending on a piece of white card stock. I did this until I was satisfied with all of the pigment on the paper.
For the base Mat I decided to go with one of the card stock pieces that came in the July subscription box, I picked the bright yellow one because I just looked very summer and happy. Plus I think it paired really well with my hot pink background.
I placed the cute characters I had previously colored on top of the card, I glued the two avocados onto the card and then I mounted the tacos one on top of each other so that they looked like one piece, and bought some fun foam behind it to make it appear more three dimensional.
I glued the tacos in between the avocados and then I place the sentiment that I previously had stamped on my paper and put a black mat behind it. I placed the sentiment right under the cute characters of the card.
And I was it! My cart was super fun and quick to make, what have you made with your stamps and paper from these months subscription box?
That is it for me this week, I will see you all next week with another fun project, I am so excited to be playing with the August stamps.
